Talk Abstract: The new Synthetics App: Observing a System from the User's Perspective - Enrique Kortright, Principal Education Architect @ Elastic

Elastic observability lets you observe your applications, services, and infrastructure through logs, metrics, and application traces. This is a great internal view of the health of a system. To complete the picture, however, it is essential to observe the system from the point of view of your users. The user experience is determined not only by your system, but also by elements beyond your control such as trackers, content coming from external sources, the speed of the network, and so on. The new Synthetics app in Kibana, along with the Synthetics recorder, allows you to capture key user journeys and replay them from locations all over the world using Elastic's own infrastructure. The app collects and breaks down the performance of your system as experienced by a user. With the Synthetics app, Elastic Observability gives a complete inside and outside view of your system. Join Enrique as he introduces and demonstrates the Synthetics app and walks through an end-to-end journey that starts with user input, continues through the services and components of a system, and results in a response to the user.
