About this event

The Munich Search Meetup is all about search technologies. This is the sixteenth meetup. Our friends at headissue are so kind to sponsor the event. Ping me if you have something nice to talk about! We are searching for speakers.

Note that space is tight, so please cancel if you cannot make it. Also please cancel on time, and not last minute to give others the chance to come by. Thanks so much!

Agenda:

18:30 - 19:00 Gathering

19:00 - 19:30 Creating a Voice User Interface for Search by Andreas Neumann

19:30 - 20:00 The tale of a performance improvement in Elasticsearch, by Daniel Mitterdorfer. Daniel will walk us through a recent performance improvement in Elasticsearch. You can expect some insights in performance analysis and low-level details about the JVM.

20:00 - 20:15 Break

20:15 - 20:45 Collecting and analysing network flow data with Elastic Stack, by Robert Cowart. Network Flows offer a rich source of data, detailing the communications between systems in today's ever expanding and increasingly complex digital infrastructures. As commercial solutions struggle to provide the features and scale required to provide the information that users desire, Elastic Stack provides the perfect foundation for such a solution. Rob will explain how Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana can help users extract valuable insights from their network flow data.

20:45 - open end & networking
