Abstract: Packetbeat can monitor any port (for e.g. 3306 in this case) and intercept conversation. We can see the queries generated by the application like "select * from some_table" and also record the response like "table some_table does not exist". This will help debug the application in real time. We will also generate charts showing the distribution of select, insert, delete queries. This log can be archived for auditing purpose. Unauthorized access to the database can also be tracked using the IP address.
