Slides from this presentation

If you are a PHP developer and you want to use Elasticsearch in your project you can use the official SDK built by Elastic. In this presentation we will show how to use the Elasticsearch client for PHP. We will present some use cases, for instance:

  • how to connect to Elasticsearch using a self-managed environment or using Elastic Cloud;
  • how to index, bulk, search and aggregate data
  • how to use advanced features, like the fuzzy query, highlighting, etc.

About EnricoEnrico Zimuel is a Principal Software Engineer at Elastic. He is the maintainer of the Elasticsearch client for PHP and Perl. He is an open source contributor and core committee member of PHP-FIG. TEDx and international speaker about computer programming, open source and applied cryptography. He is the co-founder of PHP User Group of Turin (Italy), the city where he lives and works remotely since 2008.
