Talk 1: Building an ES Ecosystem in Grab by Ben Wu, Senior Database Engineer, Grab

In the past 2 years, as Grab have had more services adopting Elasticsearch in their architecture, the Database Operations team have adapted their troubleshooting best practices for obstacles arising from different use cases and fine-tuned processes to better manage the clusters. To maintain their goal of high stability, they have continuously improved their processes through automation where they harnessed respective cloud technologies available to them, e.g. enhancing monitoring and alerting of Elasticsearch clusters. Come learn about how the Grab Database Operations Team have managed to build a healthy, strong Elastic Stack ecosystem between teams, cloud technologies, and use cases.

Talk 2 : Multi-Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring by Aravind Putrevu, Developer Advocate, Elastic

"Cloud is new platform to run your business" - majority of the companies want to move to some or the other workload to a cloud platform.
While all this is true, there are folks who are interested to run apps hybrid or even on-premise.

But the key thing to this change is Manage, Maintain, Monitor this infrastructure seamlessly.

In this talk, we will explore an application running in different cloud provider services like GCE, AKS. Monitor logs, metrics and application traces, most importantly, the service level availability aka Uptime.

We will be using a single Elasticsearch Cluster to collect all this data along with Beats Family. All live from Stage!

Talk 3: Safeguarding Sensitive Information in GREEDY DATA by Ronel Chavez, BNP Paribas

Ronel is a DevOps Technical Lead at BNP Paribas and he is one of our Elastic Certified pioneers in Singapore. Having personally challenged to perform custom data transformation on the fly over unstructured data, he grabbed this opportunity to develop his own Java transformation engine and extend Logstash’s capability to perform custom filter processing over a GREEDY DATA. In this session he will share with us this solution in a containerized platform and how he achieved masking of sensitive information before ingesting it into Elastic. We welcome everyone to discuss about this potential open-source filter plugin, collaborate and learn specially if you might have similar requirements.

Bring any questions/queries about the Elastic stack and your own experiences along to discuss on the night.

We look forward to meeting all our awesome users again - hope to see you there!
