We'd like to invite you to the next Elastic SA Meetup which will take place on the 22nd of February at 18:00, at Nedbank (Sandton)
This Elastic SA Meetup will feature the following speakers:
Selling Elastic to the Enterprise - Evert Smith (Nedbank)
How to position and sell the Elastic stack to a predominantly legacy system enterprise.
Evert Smith is a security architect working for Nedbank, and has 20 years’ experience in IT, and more predominately, the information security industry. Elastic for Operational Analytics: from dashboarding to Machine Learning - Mark Billett (Knowledge Focus)
The Elastic Stack is an extensive, highly scalable platform used across the globe to facilitate many use cases. One such use case is to use Elasticsearch to gain value from operational logs. In this session we will present Elastic's perspective on log analytics and finish off with a demo. In this demo, Mark will demonstrate the path a DevOp takes to identify a problem on his website and track down the root cause by using Kibana dashboards and Elastic's Machine Learning.
Mark Billett is an Elasticsearch Technical Lead who works at Knowledge Focus and loves getting his hands dirty in data. He has been working in the trenches, deploying varying search project use cases for many different customers, for the last 11 years.
Refreshments and snacks will be available at the Meetup.
