About this event

Target Technology Innovation Center will host the meetup, and talk about their Elasticsearch 'things'. Lobby doors close at 7:30, and no one will be down to open them for you, so if you are not there by 7:30, you are not getting in. Bicycle parking outside, in the Schwab building courtyard.

Elasticsearch developers Uri and Andrew Selden will present / do Q&A. They know everything.

Florian Leibert will talk about running Elasticsearch on Mesos: Apache Mesos is a cluster manager that provides efficient resource isolation and sharing across distributed applications, or frameworks. It can run Hadoop, MPI, Marathon, Chronos and Spark, and other applications on a dynamically shared pool of nodes. We show how to run ElasticSearch on Mesos using ElasticMesos http://elastic.mesosphere.io.

Mik Kocikowski from Target Corp will talk benchmarks, capacity planning, and deploying with Ansible. https://github.com/mkocikowski/esbench

Target will provide food & bevs.
