Talk 1 - Using ELK Stack to collect AWS Cloudwatch and Cloudtrail Data

Abstract:

How to use ELK stack to collect and report on AWS Cloudwatch and CloudTrail data.  This presentation will show how to launch an ELK stack and configure it to capture AWS Cloudwatch and CloudTrail data.  With it you can integrate Cloudwatch data along with your traditional application log files.

Speaker Bio:

Jeremy Przygode is the CEO of Stratalux, Inc. a Los Angeles based AWS Advanced Consulting Partner.  Stratalux helps companies build and manage highly available and scalable solutions on Amazon Web Services.  Stratalux additionally has a Hosted Logstash service allowing customers to fully leverage the ELK stack with the full benefits of a managed services provider.  Jeremy has 20 years of experience building and managing websites for Internet startups.  Jeremy has a B.A. degree in Art History from San Francisco State University and an M.B.A from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
