About this event

Hey Elastic Stackers!

Everyone knows IoT, Serverless, and GraphQL but have you heard of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things)?

Come join us at Ticketmaster in Hollywood to learn how hybriData (https://hybridata.us/) built an IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solution with Elasticsearch for the Energy (Renewable) industry.

Parking and Logstics:
Please park in the underground garage (entrance on Sycamore just south of Hollywood Blvd on the east side of the building.). Take the elevator up to the lobby (“L”) to check-in and get your parking validated. (Be sure to bring your ticket).

NOTE: This meeting has an early start at 6PM. Check-in completed by 6:30pm Agenda:
6:00 PM- 6:30 PM: Food, drinks, mingling

6:30 PM – 6:45 PM: Meetup Announcements
6:45 PM – 7:15 PM: AMA - Bring your questions
7:15 PM – 8:00 PM: Talk #1 Building a Serverless IIoT GraphQL AP by CJ Ejimuda
8:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Wrap-Up Q&A

Talk Title:
Building a Serverless IIoT GraphQL API using Elasticsearch, Kibana, Apache VTL, Serverless Framework and AWS cloud resources.

Talk Abstract:
Depending on how you view the Internet of Things, it is all around us. From camera, GPS, LIDAR, wheel encoder, Radar sensors onboard Self Driving Cars to Roomba Vaccum cleaners with infradRed, photocell, optical, piezoelectric sensors and so many more. . .

Nevertheless, this presentation would be about how hybriData (https://hybridata.us/) built an IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solution with Elasticsearch for the Energy (Renewable) industry to monitor the temperature and humidity of the location of PV(PhotoVoltaic) system used to capture solar energy leading to improved energy output forecasts and cost reduction. Besides Elasticsearch, we also used Kibana, Apache VTL, GraphQL, Apache VTL, Serverless framework (https://serverless.com/) and numerous AWS cloud resources to build this solution which would be covered in this presentation.

Speaker Bio:
CJ Ejimuda is the Principal and Full Stack Data Scientist at Hybrid Data Solutions, a startup here in Silicon Beach where they leverage IIoT, Big data and AI to solve real world problems with excitement.
