About this event

Come network and listen to what's coming in Elastic Stack 5.0. Food and drinks will be provided.

What’s new in 5.0?

Abstract: Elastic Stack 5.0 release is coming soon and it’s a special one. Starting with version 5.0, all of our products will be aligned, tested, and released together — and known by their new names: the Elastic Stack, X-Pack, and Elastic Cloud. In this talk, we will cover new features, breaking changes and migration strategy for the next major release.

Speaker bio:

• Steve Kearns - Steve is a Sr. Director of Product Management, focused on Elasticsearch and commercial products at Elastic. Prior to Elastic, he worked at DataGravity and Basis Technology, where he designed and deployed text analytics and search technologies to solve interesting problems for some of the world's most successful companies.

• Bohyun Kim - Bohyun is a Sr. Product Manager at Elastic. Prior to joining Elastic, she was a product manager at Tamr and a lead software engineer at HPE Vertica where she focused on resource and system management, monitoring and alerting of Vertica Analytic database. Bohyun is passionate about data analytics, machine learning and mentoring younger girls in the technical field.

What’s new in Monitoring 5.0?

Abstract: We spend a lot of time thinking about how to best monitor your Elastic Stack. Hear it from our Monitoring expert, Chris Earle, as he introduces X-Pack Monitoring v5.0 (formerly Marvel) for your Elasticsearch clusters and Kibana instances via a colorful demo.

Speaker bio: Chris Earle - Chris is a Monitoring Lead Engineer based outside of Washington DC. When Chris isn't helping Elastic's subscribers fine-tune their deployment he helps train the next generation as a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University. Before joining Elastic, he was at Boeing and Grove Software developing software and pushing API design. Chris is a regular participant on StackOverflow and the Elastic IRC community.

Space will be provided by WeWork: WeWork is a community of creators. We transform buildings into collaborative workspaces.
