MEANE - Adding ElasticSearch to the MEAN Stack (GetHuman)

When we started to revamp GetHuman.com, we started with one simple technical focus: JavaScript. We started off using the MEAN stack (MongoDB - Express - AngularJS - Node.js), but eventually decided to add ElasticSearch as well. This talk will explore the reasons why we chose ElasticSearch, how we integrated it to our core Mongo database and some learning lessons we picked up along the way.
