Please join us for our first meetup in Northern Virginia. We'll be meeting for a Lunch and Learn session at Verizon's offices.

Agenda:

11:30 AM - Doors open and guests can begin checking in at security (see notes on the venue for more details)

11:30 AM - 12 noon: Lunch is served and we can all enjoy each other's company.

12 noon - 1 PM: Talks from Martijn van Groningen, Elasticsearch Core Developer, and Bhaskar Karambelkar, Verizon Tech Lead.

Martijn will provide a general overview of Elasticsearch and discuss major features in the upcoming 1.0 release, including Percolator.

Bhaskar will give an overview of Verizon's use of Elasticsearch.

We will ensure ample time for Q&A.

1 - 1:30 PM: Wrap Up

A few notes on the venue:

* We will need to provide an attendee list in advance to Verizon, so please make sure to include your full legal name as it appears on your government issued photo identification and your company name when RSVPing.

* Please park in the guest parking area near the main entrance.

* Check in at reception upon arrival and let the receptionist know you are visiting for the Elasticsearch Verizon Meetup. You'll soon be escorted to the meeting room.

* We will be serving pizza and soft drinks for lunch. If you have dietary needs that do not permit you to eat pizza, please let your hosts know so we can accommodate.
