Come join us for Elasticsearch discussion, food, and drinks on Wednesday November 12th.

**There are 3 entrances to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel: one is located directly across from the Omni Shoreham Hotel at 2601 Calvert Street, NW Washington, DC; another is straight up their driveway from the "Woodley Park Metro station"; and the main entrance is 2660 Woodley Rd, a half block off Connecticut Ave.

Robert Muir will give a talk on Lucene 5 and its many improvements in the areas of memory usage, compression, safety and better integration with Java 7. Talk will
discuss a few of these upcoming features in detail.

Robert Muir is an Apache Lucene/Solr committer and PMC member. He has worked on a variety of Lucene's features, including flexible indexing support, column-stride fields, scoring models, and internationalization. He works for Elasticsearch.
