We are happy to announce this next Elasticsearch meetup in Stockholm!
Thanks to our partner Findwise for hosting us and to Lee & Honza for speaking at this event.
19:00 Registration & Drinks
19:30 Talk1: Honza Kral (Software Developer @Elasticsearch)
Honza will show a brief demo of our new high-level Python library elasticsearch-dsl. Its goal is to provide a convenient way to write and manipulate queries without the need to write them manually while sacrificing none of the flexibility and power of Elasticseach's query DSL.
Django developer and enthusiast. Python developer at Elasticsearch. Since Honza is scared of the bright and shiny world of browsers, designers, and users he prefers to stay buried deep in the infrastructure code and just provides others with tools to do the actual site-building. Since 2008 Honza has been building content web sites for fun and profit. During this time he discovered ElasticSearch which lead to him joining the company behind it in 2013 to work on the Python drivers.
20:00 Talk 2: Lee Hinman (Software Developer @Elasticsearch)
With Elasticsearch 1.0.0 we introduced a circuit breaker as a way to prevent clusters from running out of memory for memory-intensive actions, with the release of 1.4.0 we're extending the circuit breaker to cover more parts of Elasticsearch. I'll talk about what the circuit breaker is, why it is needed, how it works, and further work that can beadded in the future.
Lee Hinman is a big fan of Clojure. After a gig at Sonian, he joined Elasticsearch as a software engineer in August 2013. He has recently moved to Elasticsearch’s EU HQ in Amsterdam, where he is writing more code and eating better cheese.
