Learn how Enigma uses Elasticsearch to power full-text discovery across hundreds of thousands of heterogeneous public datasets. We'll present an overview of our architecture and indexing strategy, as well as a contextual demo of its use in Enigma Public, our public data exploration platform.

Abe Rubenstein has been a software engineer at Enigma since graduating from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program in 2015. He is also a co-organizer of GeoNYC, a meetup for people interested in the technical and social aspects of maps. Abe's favorite thing to do on the weekend is to daydream about public data over a damn fine cup of coffee.

Missed out on Elastic{on} 2018? Peter Kim, a Solutions Architect at Elastic and an organizer of this meetup, will be presenting some of the highlights of the announcements at the conference. Peter also happens to enjoy damn fine cups of coffee, especially single-origin Ethiopians. --- Food and drinks will be provided as usual. Doors open at 6pm, talks start at 6:30pm. Security is a bit strict, so please bring an ID and provide your first name and last name when you RSVP. Look forward to seeing you there!
