Feedback from our members says that a lot of us want to know more about finding and fixing errors that happen when we set up and operate our ES clusters. Of course, such situations can happen due to a wide spectrum of causes and snafus...
On one hand, it's glorious not to repeat past mistakes and to achieve more by standing on the shoulders of the greats. We invite those of you with experience to take a speaking part in this meetup and talk for a short bit about what you encountered and how you fixed it. If you are newer to ES, we'd love to chat about any challenges you have encountered.
On the other hand, being productive developers and engineers means finding and fixing problems quickly. It is inevitable (in life?) that things don't work exactly as we need when we push the "GO" button the first time -- assuming we know exactly what we need. Being able to tune and adjust while debugging is a valuable career skillset. Maybe we can practice troubleshooting a couple situations together...
Come to this meetup if you'd like to hear and maybe share stories of triumph and conquest. We'll feature a main speaker TBA, followed by a "roundtable" style discussion with several 10 minute time slots for interested individuals.
Please email me with interest in speaking or if you know in advance a question or glitch you'd like to discuss; I'll keep a list.
