It's been a while but we're back with another great lineup for our Melbourne event, hosted again by the fantastic team at Seek!
We have Mujtaba Hussain from www.fillr.com speaking about "Saving money and learning lessons with Elasticsearch".
"The fluidity of a start up is quite unique from any other organisation of any other size. The goal is clear in the minds of those at a startup but the road to that goal is often changing and unsure. But it doesn’t have to be that way. The voice of the customer, in form of statistics on how they use can help a startup get better at anything from knowing who is using them to where to spend their precious marketing dollars.
We have had unique experience in both stages of a startup where we went from a great idea to not understanding whether that idea was taking root, to getting numbers on usage and pruning the idea(based on the numbers) and making it into a highly usable idea. Hopefully in this talk we can give the audience some pointers on the how, when and most importantly, the why numbers/statistics are useful for any product, but especially in a startup.
Using real world examples, we will explain the use of tools like AWS, Elasticsearch, Kibana etc to show how to better understand your user base, and use them as a guide on not only product features, but also marketing, design and communications."
We then have Steve Lovatt from Syntegrity Innovations speaking about "Building an adaptive system on integration platforms and the Elastic stack"
"I will explore what is required to build an adaptive system, what technology is available to help and where there are gaps. I will discuss the limitations to adaptive systems but also some of the opportunities. In addition, I will provide some feedback about my experiences with using the Elastic stack."
Get in quick, as places are limited and these look to be two great topics.
