The Madison "IoT" Meetup is thrilled to be a part of Meet the Meetups II. Milwaukee's largest tech gathering will take place at Venue 42 in the historic Pabst brewery neighborhood. Elastic's Scott Gose will be speaking.

Given a set of data in your environment, think of a question; a question that you know can be answered by the data. How hard is it to get the answer? And more interestingly, what surprises are in the data, waiting to be uncovered. In this talk we’ll go from theory into practice as we examine a data set, index it, and then build a dashboard to answer our questions. Who knows what surprises we’ll find along the way.

Scott Gose is a Solutions Architect for Elastic. He's focused on helping companies unlock answers in their data with the Elastic stack. Prior to Elastic, Scott worked at Endeca, a company that helped pioneer the field of faceted search & navigation. He's also worked professionally as a software developer writing in Go, Ruby, and Swift. Scott has a Computer Science degree from the University of Illinois.
