Monitoring is arguably the most important requirement of running Microservices in the Cloud. We in ASOS were among early adopters of Microservices in Azure 3 years ago and we decided to use ELK stack for monitoring. Problem was Azure’s approach to telemetry did not quite fit the logstash so we set out to build our custom ingestion pipeline. Here comes conveyorbelt. Today ECK stack ingests 2TB of logs from 60 different teams and 100s of sources.
