About this event

We are excited to announce the first ever Elastic Meetup in Detroit. Many thanks to RIIS for hosting us!

We're busy finalizing the details for this meetup, but please join us to hear from our first confirmed speaker!

Talk:
How to start using the ELK stack to centralize All The Things and gain visibility into your data

Peter will provide an introduction to Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana, popularly referred to as the ELK stack, and discuss how these open source projects can be used to help gather logs, metrics, and more for real-time visibility into your systems. Because we all would prefer to spend less time fighting fires and more time drinking beer.

He'll discuss some of the plugins available from Logstash, how Elasticsearch supports data of varying schemas, and Kibana's powerful visualizations that translate analytics into pictures.
