Introduction to Elasticsearch

Josh Chan will present on Logstash (plus Elasticsearch and Kibana, the ELK stack) in regards to analytics.

Briefly covering the basics of configuring logstash and if time permits he will supplement that with some additional configuration to support specific visualizations in Kibana. Additionally he will transition to how a dev/devops person can integrate this stack into their environment and produce something of meaning proactively.

We will be trying the following format and adjust based upon feedback after the event.

• 20 Minutes - Social (food and drinks will be provided, see below)

• 1 Hour - Presentation

• 15 Minutes - Q&A relating to the presentation
