About the Speaker

Tim was hired at Collin County in 1992. He established a student internship program in 1994. He launched GIS, Scrum and kanban at Collin County. He’s learned in the last few years that Records Management is cooler than you think and Apps are the best way to share information.  GIS was his first love, and Agile is his new love. 

Collin County stumbled upon Elastic while researching ways to make our expensive COTS software faster.  Because Elastic is so intuitive to our DEVs, we quickly realized we can incorporate it into many of our existing applications. Now, we consider using Elastic before build any new apps. We will demonstrate a couple of Elastic-based apps we built as well as revealing how Elastic saved the taxpayer’s money.
