About this event

For the second edition of the Elasticsearch Chicago meetup, we'll welcome Uri Boness and Zach Tong, both core developers at Elasticsearch Inc.

Uri will be covering What's New in 1.0, a tour of the forthcoming features in Elasticsearch, including aggregations, distributed percolator and snapshot/restore.

Zach will be talking about the Common Terms query, a relatively new query that is designed to make stop-words obsolete.  This query adapts to your index in real-time and removes stop-words on the fly.

There will be ample time for Q&A on all things Elasticsearch following the presentations.

Rough agenda:

6 PM - Doors open; refreshments served.

6:30 - 7:30 PM - Presentations.

8:00 PM - Head homewards.

Here's a bit more about Uri and Zach:

open source search for many years. He is a co-founder of
Elasticsearch, the company behind the popular real-time search and
analytics open source project with more than 400,000 downloads per
month. You can follow him on Twitter at http://twitter.com/uboness

Zachary Tong

Many thanks to Vodori for hosting us once again!
