Talk 1: Elastic stack deployment journey on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

In this talk, I'll share with the audience some tips and challenges we had to overcome to deploy the Elastic stack alongside a number of microservices over Azure AKS. I'll touch base on each of the beats configurations to have a better understanding of what is happening under the hood and explain some Kubernetes deployment tips. I will be using version 6.7 for the talk and demo.

Carlos M. Cornejo is an ex Londoner, based now in Barcelona and working for atSistemas as DevOps Technical Lead. DevOps advocate big time influenced by my time working in London and attending to the LSCC meetups (London Software Craftsmanship Community). I have had a few talks in a number of different conferences and meetups. These days I enjoy building cloud native solutions, learning K8s and Knative and of course cooking the original paella recipe.

Talk 2: Elasticsearch use cases at Malt

Elasticsearch is used since 2012 at Malt. Through this presentation you'll have an overview of the way it is used on the public search engine.
We will talk about scoring through gauss decay and script functions, proximity boost, ontology, multi languages analyzers or mapping migration.
