We're excited to announce the first ever Atlanta Elasticsearch Meetup!

Boaz Leskes and Zach Tong, two of Elasticsearch's core developers, will present at this first meetup. Boaz will cover an introduction to Elasticsearch, including what's new in our forthcoming 1.0 release. Zach will cover query optimizations.

We will be serving refreshments at the event, so please come hungry for both knowledge and food.

Meeting Agenda:
6:30 PM - doors open, food served
7 - 8 PM - presentations, including ample time for Q&A from audience
8 PM - social time, enjoy each other's company
8:30 PM - wrap up and head homewards

Speaker Bios:

Boaz Leskes, Software Engineer, Elasticsearch Inc

Boaz Leskes is an Elasticsearch core developer and the author of
Sense, the popular front end for Elasticsearch. Based in Amsterdam,
he's a fan of faceting, Lucene, monitoring and search. You can follow

Zach Tong, Software Engineer, Elasticsearch Inc

Zach is a developer at Elasticsearch…and he is on a mission to educate. He’s been writing articles about Elasticsearch for nearly two years, and has released several plugins to help newcomers understand what Elasticsearch is doing under the hood.

Facilities Information:

Manheim has graciously agreed to host our first meetup. Many thanks to them for providing space and taking care of us!

Guests will need to obtain a visitor badge from security at building reception upon arrival. No NDA is required to access the facilities.

The space can seat 30 people, but you will notice we have 40 spaces total available. This accounts for the fact that some folks will not be able to make it. If you are discover you won't be able to join us, please update your RSVP ASAP so we can have an accurate headcount. (And apologies in advance if we have a full house and a few folks need to stand during the festivities.)

Guests will be able to connect to the guest wifi network. Details will be provided on-site.

The facility is fully accessible for persons with disabilities. 

Transportation Information:

Guests can park in the garage adjacent to the building. For those taking public transit, take the Sandy Springs exit from the Marta.
