Talk Abstract:

Companies are becoming more code centric. Code repositories are growing larger and more complex. How efficiently can developers interact with code repositories directly impacts how quickly a company innovates. According to this Google Study - "https://static.googleusercontent.com/media/research.google.com/en//pubs/archive/43835.pdf", code search can "significant impact developers' overall practices and performance".

In this meetup, our speaker Mengwei Ding, will share:

1. What Elastic is working on with code search that will enable development teams to search, navigate, and collaborate on large code bases
2. How code search completes observability with the Elastic Stack.

Speaker:

Mengwei Ding is now a senior principal software engineer of Elastic. Before that he co-founded Insight.io, which is a SAAS startup providing code search solution and joined force with Elastic on July 2018. Previously of that, he spent almost 3 year at Google Ads as a software engineer. He is also an Apache Committer.
