Abstract

The ELK stack is a well known platform to store, search, and analyze data from any source, in any format, in real-time. Thanks to the speed of search at scale provided by Elasticsearch, the ELK stack has become a popular platform used by organizations small and large across the globe for security analytics and threat hunting.

Elastic, the company behind ELK, has recently added security capabilities to the ELK stack leading to the release of Elastic Security, a solution that in just two years has become one of the highest recommended SIEM in the market and recognized as a Leader in the Forrester Wave™ for Security Analytics Platforms.

Presenter Bio

Matteo Rebeschini, Principal Solutions Architect - Security

Matteo is a Principal Solutions Architect at Elastic where he focuses on consulting with Elastic’s largest customers to understand their ongoing security challenges and help them architect solutions to add much needed visibility and protection. In addition to working directly with customers, Matteo travels the world to share his passion about security (and Elastic!) at industry and community conferences.

Joe Murin, Principal Solutions Architect - Security

Joe is also a Principal Solutions Architect at Elastic where he works with customers of all architectures and use-cases spanning SMB through to some of the industry’s largest security and fraud operations, including MDR and MSSP providers. Joe works to identify security needs, and where Elastic can widen the field of view, and provide additional detections and protections. Joe does travel around enthusiastically working Elastic booth duties at most larger cyber conferences, as well as local events.
