The Munich Search Meetup is all about search technologies. This is the 21st meetup, last one for this year! Johannes from Mesosphere is in town to talk about data stores in DC/OS. The fine folks of digital product school (https://www.digitalproductschool.io/) are so kind to sponsor location, drinks and snacks. Agenda: 18:30 - 19:00 Gathering, snacks & drinks 19:00 - 19:45 Container: check! But how to operate multiple data stores aside?! by Johannes Unterstein from Mesosphere 19:45 - 20:00 Break 20:15 - 20:45: Linguistic Search Plugin for Elasticsearch - by Christoph Goller from Intrafind 20:45 - end: open end & networking If you have a fancy 30-40 minute talk, ping us, and we'll make it happen! More detailed talk submissions: In the past years we migrated our applications to containers to isolate our applications and made them easily shippable. But now we are struggling running stateful applications to make them scaleable and fault tolerant. Furthermore we run our big data and fast data frameworks (for example Elasticsearch, Kafka, Cassandra or Spark) in separate clusters because it is quite hard to integrate those data stores into our current container stack. This means that our cluster utilization is not optimal and we resign scaling effects comprehensive containers and data frameworks. Florian Leibert (Mesosphere, CEO) calls this phenomenon Container 2.0 and we will discuss this topic in this session. In this session we will see how DC/OS and Apache Mesos helps to solve these issues and optimize cluster resource sharing across all parts of your application. In a huge demo we will see how to operate SpringBoot microservices together with MySQL, Neo4j, Elasticsearch and Spark.
